Ahead of Edo State governorship election, Human Rights Writers Association (HURIWA), has asked President Mohammadu Buhari not to meddle in the exercise but to play the role of an elder statesman by allowing the votes of the people count.
The Right Group, further called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to conduct a free, fair and credible poll.
Its National Coordinator, Emmanuel Onwubiko, while addressing newsmen recently in Abuja, claimed that campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC), headed by Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje flew into Benin with a presidential jet belonging to all of Nigeria, an act he was wrong.
Onwubiko said HURIWA asked President Buhari to be a Statesman and not interfere in the coming election in Edo state to select the governor of the state.
