Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Lobi Stars has lost their head coach, Solomon Ogbeide to a brief illness on Monday..
The sad news broke when people were suspicious after Ogbeide was not sighted on the technical bench in Lobi Stars’ last home game against Wikki Tourists in Makurdi, Benue state.
Ogbeide had yesterday morning complained not feeling too well before his sudden death.
Reports gathered that Ogbeide died on Monday morning, after he collapsed and was unable to be revived, shortly after he complained that he was feeling unwell.
The tactician was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
Ogbeide has been with Lobi Stars since 2017 and Lobi Stars were 2017/18 NPFL champion hence they represented Nigeria in the 2018/19 CAF Champions League.
He led the Pride of Benue to the group stage of the CAF Champions League this year, after helping the team to win the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) title last season.
