Sen. Ademola Adeleke
The Independent National Electoral Commission has denied evading service of the court processes and the petition of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The Head of Voter Education Department of INEC, Osun State, Stephen Ojewande, said this in an interview with our correspondent in Osogbo on Tuesday.
Ojewande said the electoral body had no reason to avoid being served the petition or any court process because they had nothing to hide as far as the election was concerned.
He said, “We are not included in the order of substituted service given by the tribunal on Monday because we did not evade service of the petition or any process. The PDP team is in our office now making copies of the documents they requested.
“ We received their petition and signed for it. You can find out from them. The new order may be for the two other respondents in the petition but not INEC. We do not have any reason to evade service and we did not.”
